ImpressKit now supports table of contents

I am happy to announce new Markdown-related improvement when creating Press Kits and Press Releases with ImpressKit.

You can now easily create table of contents or any other link within the same page. This is enabled by new Markdown “extras” that renders every header with ID attribute based on the content, which means you can create anchor link for any header in your text.

For example this Markdown header ## Feature list will have generated ID feature-list. So you can use standard Markdown link syntax to create anchor, in this case the link would look like this:

[feature list](#feature-list)

And that’s it! This can be super useful for creating table of contents for longer press kits or just for one-off links to different part of the text. You can also copy entire URL from your address bar with the anchor to link to specific section from anywhere.

Because some characters may get ignored when the “slug-like” ID is generated for the link, you can always check the generated content with web inspector to see exactly what ID got generated.

And of course, if you run into any issues or have a feedback, feel free to get in touch!
