Finding games without remembering the name

Short intro to experimental projects I did over the weekend.

Recently I was thinking about new ideas for my GamingBuddy app and one of them was to help find games when you don’t remember the name. I did not want to build it right into the app and decided to prototype it first.

Since I wanted to finally try the OpenAI APIs it felt like a cool simple project to built. The result is simple form that requires at least 30 characters but will probably work better with more description. I am still working in the prompt and the hints that visitors see. I think specifying the platform or rough release year helps quite bit as also telling it to exclude games which you know aren’t the results.

So without any more intro, here is the project. I will be honored if you try the “Magic Games Finder 9000” out.

My favorite result so far is asking about game “where a father shouts “BOY!!” at his son the entire time”.
